Privacy Policy

Privela stores Photos, Videos, Audio, Files, Notes, and Links in an on-device Primary Vault with PIN access. Privela Pro can add a separate Secondary Vault with its own PIN. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected.

Information We Do Not Collect

Privela does not require an account and we do not operate a cloud service for your content. We do not collect contact lists, precise location data, payment information, or the contents of your media library.

Vault Content

Photos, videos, audio, files, notes, and saved HTTP/HTTPS URLs that you import, capture, or create are stored locally on your device. Primary and optional Secondary Vault content is kept in separate encrypted storage areas. Content is protected on device and is not uploaded to our servers. A saved Link contains the address and related local metadata; Privela does not archive the web page or its contents. If you delete the app, the local data stored by the app may also be removed by iOS.

App Lock Information

Privela may store local security settings, such as lock configuration and recovery information, on your device. This information is used only to provide the app lock and recovery experience.

Local Transfers and Link Imports

Browser Access starts a temporary local service so a computer on the same WiFi network can upload, download, rename, delete, and otherwise manage supported files. Device Migration moves a vault directly between compatible devices on the same WiFi network. Encrypted archive export and restore are controlled by you and remain local to the locations you choose. Both network features are started by you and should be used only on networks you trust. A supported file imported from a link is downloaded only after you confirm it in the app; opening a saved Link in the in-app browser does not send the Link to Privela servers.

Advertising

Privela may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, general location inferred from an IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. The information processed can vary based on your device settings, region, consent choices, and whether personalized or non-personalized ads are shown.

Your vault content, album and folder names, passcode, and recovery information are not provided to Google AdMob. For more information, review Google's explanation of how it uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

  • Photo Library access is used to import selected photos and videos into the app and save exported photos and videos.
  • Camera access is used to capture photos or videos and scan QR codes for link import or device migration.
  • Microphone access is used when recording videos with audio.
  • Face ID is evaluated by iOS only after you enable it and tap its button; the app does not receive or store biometric data.
  • Local Network access is used for Browser Access and device migration.
  • When In Use location access is used only to display the current WiFi network name during device migration; the network name is not stored or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell personal information and do not share media content with third parties. Google may process advertising-related information as described above. Apple may process information through the App Store, iCloud backups, crash reporting, or system services according to your device and Apple account settings.

Data Retention and Control

You control the content stored in Privela. You can delete items inside the app, export content when supported, or remove the app from your device. Content may also be included in device backups depending on your iOS backup settings.

Children

Privela is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
